What we do

CSSA (Clean & Sober Softball) East Division is a co-ed softball league, entirely operated by volunteers. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance addiction. Our mission is to foster fellowship, strengthen commitment to sobriety, and promote a healthy lifestyle through the game of softball. Rooted in the principles of recovery, CSSA East Division emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie. The league brings together individuals who understand the challenges of addiction and recovery, creating a strong support network that extends beyond the field. Each year, we host two Roll Call events, offering newcomers an opportunity to join a team while allowing returning players to serve as mentors. Donations play a vital role in start-up costs for new players, as well as funding essential expenses such as field rentals, sanctioned umpires, website maintenance, and softball equipment. With the generous support of local businesses and individual contributions, we are creating a lasting impact—helping individuals in recovery build connections, find new purpose, and embrace a sober lifestyle.
